Students of class IX took part in E-waste management programme in school as sewa activity. It helped them to develop a sense of responsibility towards the environment and community.
It helped them to cultivate a habit of reducing, reusing, and
recycling e-waste. It guided them to respect for the environment and natural resources and to be empathy towards communities affected by e-waste and show commitment to sustainable practices and responsible
e-waste management. With the help of IT department Students successfully organized and completed the E-Waste Drive. and collected 76.24 Kgs of electronic waste for proper disposal. Students received certificates in recognition of their initiative. The school has also received the certificate for the E-Waste Drive from Karo Sambhav. This achievement promotes environmental awareness and sustainability.
Trees play a vital role in maintaining ecological balance but their depleting number has become a point of concern. To incite awareness and instill a personal connect between students and nature,’Vanmahotsav week from 1st to 10th July was planned for the middle school students of Lakshmipat Singhania Academy. The best of the thought provoking slogans by the students of VII and VIII were presented in the assembly which flared up the green ecological sense among the students .In an attempt to give a green touch, students of classes VI to X gifted saplings to passerby ,and to the teaching fraternity of the school. .Classes VI to VIII went on a plantation drive with a number of medicinal ,flowering and indoor plants. Students also tagged the green potted plants with their names .Students vowed to nurture the planted saplings and conserve trees in their small possible ways.
Vanmahotsav was an endeavour to set alight the values of social responsibility in the students towards safeguarding Mother Nature.
